1. BEING WEALTHY > RICH

Jen’s coaching practice is centered on the creation and building of wealth. Her program is designed around the following definitions:

  • Wealth = Well-being

  • Wealth = An abundance of scarce resources

  • Scarce (aka ‘valuable’) resources = Time, energy and money (*not just*)

  • Wealth therefore = An optimal balance between the three

Unlike traditional financial planners, her approach is not just about helping each client get to the biggest $ amount at the end of the day, but more about using money as a tool to:

  • Achieve their ideal equilibrium between their time and energy/mindset as well

  • Ultimately design and unlock the the life they want — one that is aligned to their broader values and personal definition of what being wealthy means to them

 

2. INDIVIDUALIZED

  • There is no one size fits all approach

  • Personal finance is personal

  • Every client’s values, priorities, needs, wants and definition of wealth are unique

3. HOLISTIC

Financial wellness is not just about the numbers and purely just managing $, but also about fulfillment

  • It’s about feeling energized/emotionally connected to your financial goals and how you spend your resources

  • Therefore it is paramount to understand your overall intrinsic life values and the purpose of money in your life beyond purely material aspirations (i.e. Security vs. buying a house, Adventure vs. a vacation etc.)

  • Alignment of these values with your financial goals are crucial in helping you stay motivated and consistent along the way

  • Financial wellness = Financial literacy

  • The goal here is not to have you just follow Jen’s guidance blindly and be 100% reliant on her as your coach for the rest of time

  • Her ultimate aim is to build a foundation of financial knowledge and competence for each client — ensuring that you feel educated and confident enough to make informed decisions you feel good about

  • The focus is on the long-term and creating realistic infrastructure that can be built upon for a lifetime vs. a quick, short-term, temporary fix

    • Employment of automated, streamlined systems and comprehensive tools/trackers that are both easy-to-use and maintain

    • Understanding of a client’s prior/current habits, spending, and mindsets as inputs to be considered when pulling together proposed solutions

  • Acceptance that no plan is set in stone, understanding that plans change in relation to clients lives
